VEER BAL DIWAS- IN MEMORY OF FATEH SINGH & ZORAWAR SINGH

 FIRST VEER BAL DIWAS was celebrated on 26th December, 2022 in memory of the two sons of 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh namely Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh.



मुगल शासनकाल के दौरान पंजाब में सिखों के नेता गुरु गोबिंद सिंह के चार बेटे थे. उन्हें चार साहिबजादे खालसा कहा जाता था. 1699 में गोबिंद सिंह ने खालसा पंथ की स्थापना की. धार्मिक उत्पीड़न से सिख समुदाय के लोगों की रक्षा करने के उद्देश्य से इसकी स्थापना की गई थी. तीन पत्नियों से गुरु गोबिंद सिंह चार बेटे: अजीत, जुझार, जोरावर और फतेह, सभी खालसा का हिस्सा थे. उन चारों को 19 वर्ष की आयु से पहले मुगल सेना द्वारा मार डाला गया था.

GITA JAYANTI 2022

 


Gita Jayanti is a very important day for Hindus. On this day, the holy book of Hindus, Bhagavad Gita was born, ie Gita Jayanti is the day when Lord Shri Krishna told the Gita to Arjuna. It is celebrated on Shukla Ekadashi on the 11th day of Margashirsha month of the Hindu calendar. The Bhagavad Gita was described by Lord Krishna himself before the Mahabharata war began. It is believed that in the Mahabharata, the seeds of the Pandavas and the Kauravas had decided to go to war even after every possible reconciliation effort.

In our Vidyalaya, Gita Jayanti was celebrated on 3rd Dec. 2022 with great devotion. Members of various Vidyalaya Committee were invited for the occassion and students too grabbed the knowledge of Bhagvad Gita from the the very informative speech of a teaching staff Shri Vaikunt Rao.

EKNATH JI JAYANTI & SCIENCE, MATHS & ARTS EXHIBITION

 Our school has celebrated exhibition on 19th November 2022 on the occasion of SADHANA DIWAS the birth anniversary of Man. Eknathji Ranade.

Students gained salutary experience in research activities in different levels of Arts , Math and Science projects. Parents also gave their utmost contribution to visit our Vidyalaya and gave their contribution.

Childrens' Day Celebration 2022

 

Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Basantipur celebrated Children’s day on the 14th November, 2022, with great festive fervour, to commemorate the 129thbirth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The programme began with a special assembly conducted by the teachers, followed by informative and inspirational speeches by students and a teaching staff Kr. Subham Das about the great leader, thinker, visionary and a true statesman – Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
Students of KG classes performed a very cute and beautiful rhymes, action songs. Overall the whole program was successful.

SISTER NIVEDITA JAYANTI

"Ramakrishna – Vivekananda – these two lives are the unity of India. All that is necessary is that India should keep them in her heart." 

 Sister Nivedita was an Irish teacher, author, social activist, school founder and disciple of Swami Vivekananda. She was very interested in service to humanity. As she met Swami Vivekananda, where she saw him giving a lecture on Vedanta, she was much impressed. She started believing Hinduism and thought of taking it forward. Later she came to India and started a girls school and educated many girls and women.
After the demise of Swami Vivekananda, Sister Nivedita took all the responsibilities of Swamiji and made it move forward. This celebration was observed in our Vidyalaya on 28 October at 9 am. Km. Jasmine, teaching staff of our vidyalaya enlightened the significance of the day and also spoke on the life of Sister Nivedita.

GANDHI & LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI JAYANTI

The birth anniversaries of Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and former Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri on 2nd October every year provides an opportunity to commemorate and learn the indelible values, ethics, and virtues preached by the personalities of these two most prominent World leaders of all time. Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2nd October 1869, while Lal Bahadur Shastri was born on 2nd October 1904.
In our Vidyalaya, this National Festival was observed with great patriotism among students. Students also cleaned their own surroundings and also acknowledged the importance of cleanliness among themselves. On the particular say 02nd October 2022, the program began with Prabhat Pheri of students. Then the program continued after returning back with Ramdhun and few patriotic songs sung by students of classes IX & X.
A Very beautiful and enlighted speech was given by two teaching staffs of our school, Mr. Kishor kumar Bhattacharjee and Mr. Ritesh Mazumder. Breakfast was also provided to the students.

Universal Brotherhood Day 2022

 

Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated on 12th September 2022 in our Vidyalaya with great  joy.

The day is celebrated to commemorate the historical Chicago speech of Swami Vivekananda on this day.
Diya Paul, a student of class VI,  made this day more memorable by getting up ready like swami vivekananda and gave the exact same speech as Swamiji delivered in chicago.
The welcome and adoration that was given to the speeches of Swami Vivekananda during the parliament of religion at Chicago made it clear that world is in need of the message of Bharat. Swami Vivekananda addressed the audience as " Sisters and Brothers of America". It had an electrifying effect on them. It was not merely a form of addressbut behind those words were the greate strength of spiritual strength of India.
The occassion was more glorified by the Chief Guest Dr. Sunita Roy, Veterinary Department, Swadeshnagar and with her message to the students about Swami Vivekananda. One of our teaching staff Smti. Pooja Roy also gave a fruitfull speech, focusing on the importance of Universal Brotherhood Day.
Very beautiful dances were performed by students of class IX & X.

Teachers day was celebrated on 5th September in our Vidyalaya with great enthusiasm. The program was conducted by the students of class 10th under the guidance of class teacher Smti Pooja Roy.
To enlighten the day , a very warm speech was delivered by Mr. Kaushik Mondal.

GANESH CHATURTHI 2022

 

वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय सूर्यकोटि समप्रभ । निर्विघ्नं कुरु मे देव सर्वकार्येषु सर्वदा ॥

Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated in pur Vidyalaya on 31st August 2022(Bhadrapad month of Shukla Paksha, Chaturthi Thithi). The puja began with chanting mantras. The puja was conducted by one of the teaching staff of our vidyalaya Kr. Kishor Bhattacharjee. Songs were sung by the students of different classes.
A very beautiful Idol making competition was conducted 2 days before the Chaturthi. Students participated in this actively and prepapred beautiful idols of lord Ganesha.
Shri Vaikundam Rao, teaching staff delivered a very brief speech on the occassion of Ganesh Chaturthi and also signified the importance of the day.

श्रीकृष्ण जन्मआष्ट्मी - 2022

“नन्द के घर आनंद भयो, हाथी घोड़ा पालकी, जय कन्हैया लाल की!
On 19th of August 2022 our vidyalaya celebrated Sri Krishna Janmashtami with great devotion. A very beautiful fancy dress competition was conducted among students of Kindergarten. Kids dressed up like Radha & Krishna.
This janmashtami puja was conducted by Kishore sir, teaching staff by following the complete rituals like chanting mantras and swinging Bal Krishna. All the teachers participated in this and students observed the rituals performed.
Saraswati madam, a teaching staff spoke on importance of the day. Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Krishna. He is believed to be the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu and is revered across India.
Few students also sung beautiful bhajans on Sri Krishna

76th INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

It was a red letter day in the history of India when the country got her freedom on August 15, 1947. It took hundreds of years for us to breath shackless of slavery. 



 On 15th August, 2022 Our Vidyalaya celebrated the 75th Independence Day. this was made most effective as it being 75 years of Independence, "AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV". The program began at 08:45am by welcoming our Honourable Chief Guest Shri Shankar Mondal Zilla Parishad Member, Harinagar Consultancy. 


The flag was hoisted at 9:00 am with our prestigious National Anthem. The program began with a motivational and patriotic speech of the Head Master, Shri P Appanna. Followed by him, the Chief Guest also spoke on patriotism and motivation to be created among the upcoming generation. 

There were two melodious patriotic song presented by the students - DES MERE & TERI MITTI that showed the sacrifice of freedom fighters for our nation.
A very nationalistic speech was presented by Shri Baleswar Ram, focusing on the martyrs, and the achievements for 75 years.

TIRANGA RALLY - 75th AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV

तीन रंगों में रंगा हुआ सारे जग से न्यारा है, सुनो तिरंगा हमें हमारे प्राणों से भी प्यारा है।

Amrit Mahotsav meaning Nectar of grand celebration which signifies the 75 years of India's independence from British Raj. The overall celebrations began on 12 March 2021 and will continue up to 15 August 2022.The Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav means elixir of energy of independence; elixir of inspirations of the warriors of freedom struggle; elixir of new ideas and pledges; and elixir of Aatmanirbharta.


 On this occassion, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad vidyalaya has conducted a Tiranga Rally on 12th August 2022. All the students along with teachers participated in this auspicious rally.


Students and teachers showed their patriotism by holding Tirangas in their hand and paying respect to them and also promoted the campaign of Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan.

RAKSHA BANDHAN 2022- KNOT OF PROTECTION

Raksha Bandhan was celebrated on 11 August 2022 at 10:30 am at VKZPV Basantipur. The program firstly started with the Rakhi- Rangoli Making Competition house wise. Students inculcated themselves whole heartedly and prepared beautiful Rakhies using rangoli.
    Smti Sushma Das spoke on the importance of the day.     Raksha Bandhan means bond, Raksha Bandhan or Rakhi  is an important Hindu Festival, dedicated to brothers     and sisters. On this auspicious day, sisters tie a thread on     her brother's wrist and pray for his long and prosperous     life. In return, the brother gives a token of love to his     loving sister and promise to protect her.
Students in queue tied the " Raksha Dhaga " to their brothers and exchanged sweets as token of love.
