 ANNUAL SPORTS MEET

The 18th Annual Sports Meet held on 06.12.2025 at

Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Basantipur.

The 18th Annual Sports Meet of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Basantipur was held on 06 November 2025 in the school premises with great enthusiasm and excitement. Shri Mmanjeet Singh Bohra, Range Officer, Forest Department and Dr.Kshitij Prateek , Veterinary ,Basantipur, North and Middle Andaman,was the Chief Guest of the occasion. 

The programme began with a warm Welcome Address by Abhijit Mondal bhaiya(teacher) of the school. The Chief Guest declared the Sports Meet open, followed by a focused March Past by the four houses of the school. The chief guest  In his inspiring address, he appreciated the efforts of the Head, students, teachers, and school management. He also motivated the students to participate actively in sports and games for their mental and physical development.Various  cultural displays such as Dumbles, Rhythmic Yoga, Lezim, Aerobics,Mass PT, Ring Drill and other group performances were presented by students from Class I to IX, which captivated the audience.A number of track and field events were conducted for the students of Balvatika to Class IX. All participants showed true sportsmanship an amazing spirit throughout the events.Prizes and medals were awarded to the winners by the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour, Smti.S.Beena,GSSS Govindapur and Shri.Bhibuti Ranjan Biswas,Up-Pradhan, Basantipur, Parents,SMC members. In his motivating address, he encouraged the students to take part actively in sports and be in a healthy body. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by the Headmaster sir, Sanjay Singh,VKZPV Basantipur. Altogether more than 300  students, more than 50 to 70 parents, 23 teaching and non teaching staff were present on this occasion. The event concluded with the National Anthem.

Overall, the event was a success and provided the students with an excellent opportunity to showcase their talents in sports and cultural activities.All the students show great interest and participated with great enthusiasm.
