Objective: To honour the Samadhi Diwas of Mann Eknath Ramakrishna Ranade, the visionary behind the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Kanyakumari.
Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Basantipur observed the Samadhi Diwas of Mann Eknath Ramakrishna Ranade on 22nd August 2026 at 8:40 a.m. in the School Corridor with reverence and dedication.
The programme began with 3 omkara along with Shanti path, a brief introduction to Eknath Ji and his remarkable contribution to the construction and development of the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, delivered by Priyanka didi. 
The programme concluded at 9:00 a.m. with a remembrance of the great work eknathji ranade did for us. Following with the offering of flowers at the portrait of Mann Eknath Ji.
A total of 60 approx students and 19 staff members participated in the programme.

* On 20th August  2026,  a productive and rejuvenating Capacity Building Programme was organised at VIVEKANANDA KENDRA ZILLA PARISHAD VIDYALAYA, BASANTIPUR and VIVEKANAND KENDRA ZILLA PARISHAD VIDYALAYA, PAHALGOAN by Shri  RAVINDRA GODBOLE JI, Master of  Metallurgical Engineering from Pune. 

* The program started by welcoming of RAVINDRA GODBOLE JI and Kamal chandra das bhaiya and his staffs by KARPAGA JYOTHI.

* The main objectives of the programme were to enhance observation skills among children by connecting activities based on NCERT with sense Organs and to   make classroom teaching more interactive and child-centred by using  toys and play based resources.

* The programme was conducted in two sessions.

* The *First Session* was exclusively meant for science teachers from both the schools.

* The  session* focused on Observation Skill - an important Scientific skill based on our five senses—touch, smell, taste, sight, and sound.

* During the session, Respected Ravindra Godbole ji explained how observation skills can be developed among the children by connecting activities with the NCERT contents being taught. 

* A hands-on  activity was also conducted based on the five senses, which helped teachers understand practical ways of developing observation skills among students.

* In the morning session ABHIJIT MONDAL & KARPAGA JYOTI from BASANTIPUR, RITIK and SHARVANI from PAHALGOAN.

* The session was actually an interactive, fun and helpful one for our Science teachers.

* The Second Session was organised in the School classroom for all teachers at about 12:30 Activities were performed by all the teachers in pairs in different classrooms and showcase their innovative ideas and how we can teach the students in a playful way.

* The session  Commenced with the words of Ravindra Godbole ji and vote of thanks given by ABHIJIT MONDAL and left everyone with new ideas and new experiences for the participants.

80th INDEPENDENCE DAY

 80th INDEPENDENCE DAY 

Report on Independence Day 80th Independence Day was celebrated in VKZPV Basantipur on 15th august 2026,began with a Prabhat Phery, in which students and teachers participated enthusiastically while raising patriotic slogans. After completing the Prabhat Phery, all the participants assembled in proper lines in front of the flag post. On the arrival of the SMC Member Biman Roy, everyone joined together for Vande Mataram. This was followed by the flag-hoisting ceremony by headmaster bhaiya along with the National Anthem was sung with due respect. The programme then continued with the planned activities, including a welcome address by Arpita didi, patriotic speeches by 1 teacher preety didi,2 students and 1 poem, patriotic songs were sung by class X,IX,VIII. The performances reflected the spirit of patriotism, unity and love for the nation. Headmaster sir then addressed the gathering and encouraged the students to become responsible citizens and contribute positively to the country. Finally, a vote of thanks was proposed by Vaikundam bhaiya expressing gratitude to the SMC Member, teachers, staff, students and everyone who contributed to the successful celebration. The programme concluded with a strong sense of patriotism, unity and pride in the nation.

 GURU PURNIMA 

Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Basantipur celebrated Guru Purnima with great faithfulness and dedication on 29 July 2026 in the school premises. The programme commenced with a graceful song presented by the students of Class VIII, creating a joyful and perseverance atmosphere.

The celebration was followed by an inspiring speech delivered by one of our teachers, Sushma Das Didi highlighting the significance of Guru Purnima and the great and grand role of teachers in shaping and developing the lives of students.

A student of class 10th also spoke about the importance of this day expressing heartfelt appreciation for the guidance and blessings of teachers. The programme concluded with Shanti Mantra. All the teachers and students offering flowers to the Om portrait as a mark of reverence and seeking blessings for wisdom, knowledge, and success.

Total number of students present are 295 and 19 teachers and 4 staff was also present.

The celebration instilled the values of respect, gratitude, and devotion towards teachers among all the students and made the function unforgettable for everyone.

    

      

 

SADHANA DIWAS

Sadhana Diwas was observed with great devotion on 4 july 2026. The program began with chanting 3 Omkara creating a spiritual atmosphere.A floral tribute was offered before the portrait of Swami Vivekananda.

Then Smti. Chapala Didi highlighted the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, emphasizing the message of self discipline, character building and dedication to the nation. Teachers and students were inspired to transform every action into Sadhana by performing their duties with devotion.

The program concluded with Shanti paat, this celebration inspired everyone to strive for moral values, academic excellence and dedication for the nation.

KENDRA VARGA

 Report on Kendra Varga

Kendra varga was conducted on 27th February 2026 from 2:45 pm to 4:00 pm for all 18 teaching staff at Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Basantipur. The program began with three Omkara, Shanti Path, and the Ekya Mantra, creating an atmosphere of clam and freshness.This was followed by Yoga Abhyas, which included: Asanas – Ardh kati chakarasana which helps in calmness and flexibility of the body.Aagya Practices – Nishchalo bhawa, sustito bhawa, swastha bhawa,Dakshina valanam kuru,Vama valanam kuru, Aardha Valanam kuru.After the yoga session, participants engaged in an entertaining game, 'balance the ball'.Game was full of entertainment and fun.All the teachers participated equally and openly.The Song 'bane hum rastriya ke yogi'... the song depicts about the deep thoughts of nation build a feeling of love towards nation.A meaningful discussion about learning point of this year was conducted in which all the teachers share their views and thoughts.All the teachers actively participated in the discussion and share their views openly and what can be done next year for the betterment of the children.The program concluded with Shanti Mantra, Prarthana, and Avalokan, leaving everyone with a sense of peace and refreshment.

Overall, the session was well organised, providing mental calmness through exercise, team work through fun games, important topic was discussed in which every teacher participated actively and share their opinion and thoughts to improve the performance of the students next year.

MATRUUJA CELEBRATION 2025-26

 Matrupuja Celebration

                                     

 Matrupuja was solemnly celebrated at VKZPV BASANTIPUR on the school campus at 10:00 am onwards with great devotion and spirituality. The programme was organized for the parents and students of Class 10  to instill values of gratitude, respect, and reverence towards parents, especially mothers.

A total of 28 students, 28 parents, and 18 staff members including the Principal actively participated in the ceremony. The puja began with the auspicious rituals conducted by Shri chote lall kushvaha ji, who led all the mantras and chantings. The atmosphere was serene and devotional as students performed Pada Puja (washing the feet of their mothers), expressing love, respect, and love towards their mother.At the beginning of the programme started with rohini didi addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of Matrupuja, emphasizing the vital role of parents in a child’s moral, emotional, and spiritual development. All the rituals and chantings were performed smoothly under the guidance of Shri chote lall kushvaha.At the end of the puja, Principal Sir shared his views, followed by two students who expressed their heartfelt experiences and emotions and two parents about the significance of Matrupuja. The programme concluded with prasad distribution, which was carried out by the staff members. The celebration left a lasting impression on everyone present and strengthened the bond between parents and children.

                 

                

    

SWAMI VIVEKANANDA JAYANTI CELEBRATION 2025-26

Annual Day 2025-2026

Vivekananda Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Basantipur celebrated Swami Vivekananda Jayanti (National Youth Day).

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence on 12 January 2026  to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda in the presence of PC Manickam,SHO PS Billiground ,Shri Debrato Das, Pradhan Gram Panchayat Swadesh Nagar, Manojit Halder Pradhan Gram Panchayat Harinagar,Dilip Das Samiti Member,Jagdish Bala,T.S Saw Timoti SMC member constituency all the alumni and well - wishers were also present. Swami Vivekananda,  one of India’s greatest spiritual leaders and youth icons. The programme aimed to inspire the people with his principles of Hinduism, Sanatan Dharma and service to nation.

The celebration began with a welcoming of guest,garlanding the statue of Swami Vivekananda and floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda’s portrait by all the guest. This was followed by a welcome address by Abhijit Bhaiya and  who highlighted the significance of National Youth Day and the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s message in today’s world.

Students sang the Bharat Mata Aarthi and took the pledge - Swadesh manta (in hindi) of Swami  Vivekananda.As the anchoring went,Headmaster Shri Sanjay Singh presented the annual report of the school.There was a speech by an ex student - kritika which was inspiring and she share the thoughts and teachings of Swami Vivekanand and encourage the younger generation to contribute their ideas innovations to the nation.Following Prize Distribution ceremony started for all the students.Prizes were given by all the guest for the competition of Suryanamaskar, Exhibition,Full Attendance,Last year toppers,Last year subject toppers,Best Students of the year etc.All the prizes were given one by one for enhancing the confidence of every student and motivate them to participate more.Between the prize distribution there was a speech given by guest of honour i.e SHO Manickam PS Billiground where he highlighted the principles of swami vivekananda and encourage the younger generation to followed the path of Swamiji for their better life and to achieve success.Vote of thanks was given by Ajitha kumari didi. Cultural program started with different varieties of performances welcome dance,skits on drugs, operation sindoor ,folk dance, patriotic songs,classical dance etc.

The celebration was a grand success.It was memorable for all and filled everyone with joy,pride and inspiring leaving a lasting impression on the parents,students and reminding everyone of Swami Vivekananda’s timeless message: “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached.”
